elizabeth fitzgerald
nutrition

Interested in the medical field and the function of our amazing bodies, Elizabeth studied Dietetics at Cal Poly. Later, she was certified as a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner by the Nutritional Therapy Association (NTA) where the training brought home the reality that food truly influences the function and health of our bodies. As research and knowledge regarding the human body continues to expand, the need to increase awareness and education regarding the effects of diet on health issues also grows. Through education and private consultation, Elizabeth hopes to encourage others in the journey toward health. Since meals are a daily part of life, community and celebrations, food is an effective, natural way to support health and healing for every age.

Suraya Smith
Movement through Dance; Stretch & Tone

Throughout Suraya’s youth and young adult life she danced with the Civic Ballet Company of San Luis Obispo. She went through the Nia training to receive her white belt and blue belts, and had a thriving business as a certified massage practitioner for many years. She’s taught Nia and other dance and fitness classes for many years and has a passion for teaching and helping others get healthier and stronger.

Heather Lieurance
Resistance Training

From an early age, exercise and activity have been central to Heather’s life. Whether participating in official sports, or going on an outing with family and friends, Heather has always loved being outdoors and active! In adulthood, she added a more structured weight lifting routine, but as she aged, she began to notice various aches & pains (don’t we all?!), which led her to research functional movement to maintain joint & muscle health. Working with a personal trainer and a chiropractor on her own movement has given Heather new insight and a new perspective on exercise. It turns out that it doesn’t have to be “harder” to be more “effective!” Heather brings her passion for exercise into each class, along with her new passion for proper movement, resulting in gentle, but effective exercises for strengthening our bodies and protecting our joints.
